Conference Check In Procedures

PLEASE NOTE—Only the FFA advisor or designated sponsor may check in the members at the conference site. FFA members should not be in the registration line.  This procedure improves the process.  The registration price does not include a meal on Friday evening.  Please register for the conference and then eat a meal to avoid the last-minute rush.  Those chapters staying at the Holiday Inn must have the advisor or sponsor check in at the front desk for hotel rooms.

Refund Policy

A full refund will be provided if a registration is canceled no later than 4:00 p.m., Tuesday, February 21, 2006.  Cancellations made after February 21 will be refunded on a prorated basis, depending upon amount of cost guarantees we need to honor to the hotels and National FFA.  Any cancellations or changes may be called (402-471-2439) or sent via fax (402-471-6514) or email (roxie.rosenthal@nebraska.gov).  If the conference must be cancelled due to inclement weather, the Nebraska FFA will notify each chapter individually by phone.

Attire

Friday evening/Saturday Morning:  Official FFA dress

Saturday afternoon:  Appropriate casual

Dance:  Appropriate casual

Dance

A dance will be held on Friday evening.  We will be monitoring attendance so that only conference participants are at the dance.

Supervision/Discipline Policy

In keeping with the Nebraska Department of Education policies, state FFA staff will not provide direct supervision of the students.  If there is a supervision or discipline incident, our staff will immediately refer it to the local FFA advisor for action.  If the advisor is not present at the conference, we will follow the procedures as outlined on the supervision/discipline form.

All students must bring with them a medical release form and code of conduct form.  These forms are online at www.neaged.org.

Reminder

The FFA Board of Directors will be meeting the evening of February 27.  The state proficiency award selection will be held on Saturday, February 28.  All advisors are encouraged to participate in this worthwhile activity.
