on-site registrations will be accepted.
Who
should attend?
MFE
is open to any FFA member who is in the ninth grade or above this
school year. Past
conference attendees have been from all of these age groups.
With the new materials and presenters, members who have
attended in the past will find the conference valuable.
ALD is designed for
juniors and seniors, especially those who have previously attended MFE.
If juniors/seniors have not been to MFE, it is recommended, but
not required, they register for MFE this year and ALD next year.

Arrangements
All lodging arrangements must be made by the
individual FFA chapter. Call
the hotels NOW. There are
other large conventions in Kearney
the same weekend. DO NOT WAIT TO MAKE RESERVATIONS. Call the Holiday Inn (800-248-4460 or
308-237-5971—$) or Hampton Inn (308-234-3400—$) or
Wingate Inn (800-359-7234—$) to make reservations.
Conference Check
In Procedures
PLEASE NOTE—Only the FFA advisor or designated
sponsor may check in the members at the conference site. FFA members
should not be in the registration line.
This procedure improves the process.
The registration price does not include a meal on Friday
evening. Please register
for the conference and then eat a meal to avoid the last-minute rush.
Those chapters staying at the Holiday Inn must have the advisor
or sponsor check in at the front desk for hotel rooms.
Refund Policy
A full refund will be provided if a registration is
canceled no later than 4:00 p.m., Tuesday, February 21, 2006.
Cancellations made after February 21 will be refunded on a
prorated basis, depending upon amount of cost guarantees we need to
honor to the hotels and National FFA.
Any cancellations or changes may be called

If the conference must be cancelled due to inclement weather,
the Nebraska FFA will notify each chapter individually by phone.

A
dance will be held on Friday evening.
We will be monitoring attendance so that only conference
participants are at the dance.
Supervision/Discipline
Policy
In
keeping with the Nebraska Department of Education policies, state FFA
staff will not provide direct supervision of the students.
If there is a supervision or discipline incident, our staff
will immediately refer it to the local FFA advisor for action.
If the advisor is not present at the conference, we will follow
the procedures as outlined on the supervision/discipline form.
All
students must bring with them a medical release form and code of
conduct form. These forms
are online at www.neaged.org.
Reminder
The
FFA Board of Directors will be meeting the evening of February 27.
The state proficiency award selection will be held on Saturday,
February 28. All advisors
are encouraged to participate in this worthwhile activity.
